6 AM, Are you Kidding Me?

SLEEPY

It's the first week and I haven't even taught any students yet. That's on Thursday. But it is SO much work you would not believe it. I am dead beat. Two 12-hour days per week, class reading for 3 classes, and prepping for 4 days of teaching a week. And I'm on the bus by 7:40 every morning but Tuesday. If I can make it through the next two weeks, I'm solid. But it's pulling out all the stops. Tonight I'll get four whole hours of sleep. And after school tomorrow, back home at 8pm, I'll hit the books and start all over.

  1. This looks like the kind of experience you will remember the rest of your life and the kind that creates relationships that last forever. It reminds me of Outward Bound when we had to canoe or hike for something like 10 hours a day, then stop make a camp, cook something and go to bed to get up early the next day. It was unlike anything I'd done before (I wasn't yet 30 years old) but I'll always remember it as something positive.

How are the other students taking it? Who are they?

  2. Graeme! This sounds crazy -- but in a totally fabulous way! Good luck dealing with it all. I know you'll handle it beautifully.

    I miss you!
